Nick’s assistant, Dave had a very undistinguished playing career, the pinnacle of which was nearly winning promotion to the then second Division with Newport County in 1984.

Dave has managed Warbury on a number of occasions when Nick has been unavailable, the most prominent of which were in 02-03 when Nick quit and then again when Nick was framed for the 'murder' of Gary Lewis in 2005. This latter spell was fairly successful and he took the side through to the play-offs.

He has a wife, Barbara and a daughter, Alex and his idea of the ultimate holiday is a week at Butlins. His hobbies include collecting antique marbles, making matchstick models and reading football statistics.
