The streets of Warbury are a far cry from ice cool Li Ming’s
life in Shanghai where she lived in
the lap of luxury.
The daughter of a billionaire Chinese business man, she is determined
to make it in a man’s world but finds her ambitions thwarted by her chauvinist
brother Chen.
Sick of the bitter sibling rivalry, her father sends her on
a mission to England to extend his empire by buying an English football club and turning it into
the most successful in the world.
Her quest takes her to Warbury, where she snaps up the ailing Warriors for
£1million from Chairman Eric Openshaw and sets her sights on getting the club
back into the Premiership and qualifying for Europe
in consecutive seasons.
But when the normally aloof Li lets down a little more than
her reserve and has a fling with manager Nick Jarvis, things start to go
horribly wrong!
Furious that she has mixed business with pleasure, her
father orders her to sack Nick, but when she reinstates him, her father loses
faith in her ability to run the club and tries to take over threatening to ruin
her and the club if she does not obey him!
